Go to Btdarters on the Web and they have info and darters for sale....if you e-mail him Ive heard hes good about e-mailing you back.

i used worms. small worms. then mine started eatting pellets :)

Frozen bloodworms are a great staple. You may want to vary the diet a bit with some live foods. In my darter-keeping experience, I have only have one fish eat flakes/softened pellets, but it was famished and was not fed for 3 weeks. Others have had better experience with this. But to keep you darter healthy, feed bloodworms and other various frozen/live foods.

another food that all my darters have taken to fast is market shrimp...they all have eatten it after is ripped it up...i don't have any darters any more cause all my fish eat them...

What type darters. I have browns and swamps and an unkown . I feed them daphnia and Black worms but as far as not moving they will only take thawed glass worms .

I did not think any darter would even look at a pellet.

i got some tesselated darters. well now 1. had 2.
it lives with a dace. the dace started hammering pellets, then the darter, i guess watching the dace taught it, and the darter just started eatting them.
they have to be falling for the dace to eat them, the darter has to watch it hit to eat it, and the cray will eat what they dont eat

Ah that makes sense as that is how I got my dollar suns to eat cichlid gold pellets by watching my rosy reds eat them.

I've only been able to get my swamp darters to eat live food, mainly blackworms. If it isn't moving, they won't eat it.
