What is a good food to feed to earthworms, so that I can beef them up and make them more nutritious for my rays. Right now I feed them flake food that dampen, what else would be good.

do you just dig them up. im always worried if i do something like that id contaminate the tank. leaf litter will be good mate. dead are best. you'll notice eventually they will take them into the soil (if your keeping them in soil)

I buy them 24 dozen at a time from my local bait shop. The guy there gives me a better deal the more I buy.

I keep them in a storage container in the basment with holes in the lid. They breed in there too. Just wondering what else to feed em.

I never feed worms from the yard.

I just feed worms from the bait store. If you want to feed worms, try Omega One, it's people quality. LOL

I do too, but I don't think they could eat all 24 dozen in one sitting, although I think they would give it a shot.

CORN MEAL .... THEY CAN BE FEED THAT AND THE FISH WILL LOVE IT ... EVER GONE FISHING ?? THEN YOU KNOW THE POWER OF CORN ( THAT IS WHY IT'S ILLEGAL)..:D

Good leaf mulch mixed with potting soil and occasionally enriched with powdered cat food, flake fish food, and corn me.

feed the worms bread and shredded carrots. the bread gives them sugars and starches while the carrots will gut load them with karotin (sp?) and other vitamins. also if you lay the bread on the surface the worms will be easy to find because they will gather on the surface. I have also dumed liquid fish vitamins in the soil for the worms to absorb but I can't prove that its does anything.. hope this helps
