i got a nice friendly tank goin.

it has 4 angel fish and 4 bala sharks.

3 out of 4 angels seem to be growing. some more than others. the 4th one is staying kinda small. maybe little more than a quarter size.

the bala sharks haven't grown. they always look skiny too.

the agressive fish are older fish and conist of 3 black widows, a barb, and some 3 other dino or somehing type fish (i'm not sure). these are the ones that do the fin pecking i assume.

as of now i feed them regular tetramin flake food.

but i want my bala to grow big and strong to defend themselves. any food suggestions?

Anything high in protein will work well. Your fourth angel is staying small because the larger ones are keeping him suppressed. The only way to get around it is to seperate him from the group, and allow him many months alone to grow. As to the balas, they are a very slow growing fish.

my angels grew fas t on a diet of bloodworm and brine shrimp

i also have 4 angels much bigger then yours it sounds they currently have boddies with diametes of 4 to 5 inches i feed them tetra min floating food every day twice a day and baby shrimp 3 days a week in the mornining. i wouldnt feed them baby shrimp until the bodies are at least 3 inches because they may have trouble eating them. for now i would recomend tetra floating flake food twice a day and freze dried blood worms 4 or 5 days a week

Lots of water changes will also help.
