WHAT DO YOU CREAM KINGS USE TO GAIN GREAT COLORING IS IT FOOD OR IS IT LIGHT ASWELL?

Hmmmm Hikiri brand never seems to fail me, otherwise some good raw shrimp or anything with high protein should be good.

tried the shrimp cause i feed it to my other fish whole but they dont hit it yet just feeders i was thinking maybe minnows if anything cause I hate the comets cant trust them for desease

Hmmmmmmmmm, try silversides or smelt. I usually put some pellets in them to trick my bass into eating them.

I feed my feeders Bio gold pellet right before i feed them to the bigger fish.

I feed mine shrimp with alittle of the shell still on, silver sides, krill, feeders stuffed with bio gold....think that's it.

lights.....15w blue light.

i dont do much special.

but this seems to bring out colors (but i dont know about pellets since i dont use pellets...neither do i use gutloaded feeders).

mainly shrimp diet, regular water changes, dark background and natural or dark gravel.
low ph.
not sure about lighting.
i just use white lights.
also, they will show much more color if comfortable with their surroundings of course.
provide lots of DW.

My monoc shows amaizng colour with no light as the pond doesnt have one.

Hikari food is probably the best for it though
bruce,does your pond have sunlight?
thats the best for cichla IMO.
just hard to keep tanks in sunlight all the time for some.
