Hey, I'm new to rbp's and I've been feeding frozen blood worms to mine since I got them in March at about 1". Now They're all almost 3". I've been impressed at how fast they're growing, and they've just recently started eating feeders as treats, I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions as to what I can try switching them to since they're beginning to eat a lot of bloodworms at one time. I want them to keep growing, so I'm just wondering if what the next step is and if they're ready. Is there a general rule about when/what to change for feeding as they grow?

Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks

Really simple. Beefheart! Buy it frozen in cubes or make your own. As for feeders as a treat, try to stay away from goldfish/comets due to them having a higher rate of parasites.

When they were legal, I raised two shoals of eight each. They ate anything and everything. I kept them on mostly fish food. Flakes and pellets, but also with cut fish, shrimp, worms, and the RARE frozen mouse. They will eat just about anything which is really nice.

Well, mine aren't too fond of anything that floats. I've tried freeze dried krill. But they swim close and get scared of their own shadow and swim away. But I will try a few of the things you all suggested.

No, they don't like floating stuff - pre soak pellets so that the filter can "blow" them downwards to the fish.

The beef heart intrigues me. I'm thinking of running over to the local butcher and picking one up. If nothing else my Asian rtc's will love it, hopefully my senegal too.

My P's love beefheart, when u buy it have them trim off any fat left on, u dont want to feed that to your fish
