I bought my first silver aro last friday. it has one comet and 3 small clown loaches as his tankmate. I have Hikri cichilid small pellet now to feed. For the first two days I did not see aro eat anything. last two days I did see him take a litlle bit of pellets. I am worried about his eating now. Looks like he does not like the pellet. can I try frozen beefheart (I grind it for my pirahas)
I did not find aro stick food in my local petsmart. they have cricket and super worm and frozen bloodworm. If i buy them cricket, how many does he eat each time? any inputs are appreciated.

Thanks for the heads up. it is 4" not 4'.

I think you meant 4" not 4'. But at that size try Freeze Dried Bloodworms that float or guppies to bulk him up.

Try Hikari Food Sticks. If they're too big which they're probably not, break them in half. Also you can feed krill, shrimp, bloodworms etc. I feed mine frozen chunks of bloodworms and brine because they're too small individually. My little aro loves the Hikari Food Sticks though and that's his main staple. You should avoid live feeders IMO.

either bloodworms or get them started on small pellets. IMO that is the best
