What to feed my blood parrots to bulk them up.

Just picked up 8 baby (3-4 cms) Blood Parrots (BPs) this weekend. They are currently in my 2 foot grow out tank. I really want them to grow quickly so I can team them up with my main tank which currently already houses 2 BPs (7-8cms).

I think they are pretty good quality as they are already starting to change colour at their size.

What is the best foods to give them to bulk them up? and what are some other hints to bulk them up quickly.

High quality pellets, Bloodworms, Beefheart...pretty much give it a good variety just like any other fish

They are not the fish to have if you want them to grow quickly. Ive had mine for 2 years and has put on 2" but feed them a high quality pellet and lots of space

I currently feed them a wide range of crushed pellets. But they dont seem to like pellets. They do like bloodworms however, but I dont think Bloodworms will bulk them up.

Does anyone know how long it generally takes for a juvie BP to grow into an adult?

feed them some krill too.

you just have to get them to get used to the pellets.. my bp loves pellets.. well it actually loves everything and anything.. but you know.. haha

Yea my other BPs in the seperate tanks eats everything and alot of everything. They are growing nicely. Just know that everyone has a special formula they use to bulk up their fishes. I will keep trying pellets.
