I normally feed him Hikari Gold pellets, and the occasional leftover night crawler from fishing, but for the past few days he's showed no interest in the pellets. I've seen many threads of fish not eating, it's just strange that after a year he just now decided he doesn't like them anymore.
Feeding schedule is pretty much a pellet or two whenever I walk by, usually adding up from 5-10 pellets a day. I try to fast on Fridays because that's when I do major water changes and he usually doesn't want to eat that day anyway lol.
Water parameters are fine, all 0's with slightly basic (7.4) water, which has always been that way.
I plan on just letting him fast most of this week, but if at the end he doesn't eat them, I'm looking for a backup food. I know brine shrimp are alright as a snack, but they just filter through his gills if I give him any, and he hates krill. Is there anything else I can give him to eat? He loves live food but convicts are the one fish he likes, and I was told night crawlers carry stuff.
I'm pretty sure I know what to do: let him starve till he eats, but I just want to know any other possible solutions.
Also, he's acting completely fine, no loss of color or attitude, and his fins/ scales look great
