Hi everyone, I was just wondering what the best thing to feed my juvi GTs would be, I haven't got them yet, but I would like to do a little research before I do get em.

i feed my juvi GT Hikari frozen tubix worms, hikari freeze dried brine shrimp and sometimes frozen beefheart. GT loves all of it.

Make sure you are feeding them a good veggie base. They do not do good on all proteen foods. Your diet is IMO too high in proteen. (AQUENTERO) posted in my thread....75% vegetable and 25% animal proteen. I use skinned peas once a week with a daily feedings of Omega One Super Veggie pellets and Hakari Bio-Gold+. I feed an earthworm & some krill once a week but feed vegetable matter every day. It has been my observation that with these guys any meaty foods that don't pass through the digestive system quickly can start to grow bacteria so keeping things moving is important. Hope this helps Ive lost 2 in the last 3 years after they get around 6 inch. Good luck they are awesome fish if you can keep them healthy.

Thanks for that advice. I will add the veggie base also. I tried feeding the Fire mouths the Hikari Bio gold but there just not taking it.

Hopefully they will take the peas, it'll be cheaper in the long run and still just as good for them, if not, I'll have to get a veggie based flake or pellet
