Hello. I was wondering what is a good prepared food that I can try with my L25's? I have used NLS Stable wafers and Hikari Carnivore Sinking Pallets but I only have partial success with those. What I mean by partial success is that one L25 will gobble them up like it's there last meal and the other one well won't really mess with either of them. I also tried my NLS pellets I had for my baby Trimac's and again the one eats but the other doesn't. Well it eats cause I see poop but not like the other one. Both the L25's are in the same tank but are separate. I got a divider since the one who does eat will attack the other non stop. So what can I try to feed it or what can I do to up it's food intake? I got other pseuda's in another tank who just fine as well it's just this one and I don't know why.

L25s are not picky eaters. Out of the 3 I have, all 3 will even eat cucumbers, zucchinis that I toss in for the panaques. I think it's not the food, it's the stress. I don't believe in dividers, they are only for short term isolation, not long term housing.

If the L25s are the only two larger plecos, then add at least 1 more. If you have 3 or more of similarly sized pleco in a tank, aggression usually is not too big a problem. Of course, there will be some fights at first, some split fins even broken fin rays, but eventually, they will get used to eachother. "Attacking" is nothing to be concerned about, as long as they are healthy.

If you are really concerned about the other one, and insist on separating them, cut shrimp or frozen/live bloodworm/blackworms are usually gobbled up in no time.

The tank there in only has them two as far as big pleco's go. I got three small BN's in there but there are left alone. I think there to small to be seen as a threat by the L25's cause they don't even acknowledge there presence. Only pleco I got that comes close to there size is my big L330 Watermelon Panaque that is housed in my 135 gallon. I may try the shrimp. Where do you find live blood worms??? I've seen blackworms but never blood worms not live i mean.

When they were together the one who doesn't eat as much would just sit there as the other kept scraping him with it's mouth and ramming it with it's fins which have grown some nice little odontodes. It broke off part of the ray on it's tail but it never fought back just sat there. I had pulled the divider out since they both got there own caves but that didn't matter none. Waiting for it to heal a bit more then I'll try again with another pleco in there.

Was wondering would putting other pseuda's in there be a bad idea that aren't there size? I'm able to keep up with the WC for these guys since there waste output is way lower then what I struggle with when it comes to my Panaque's. The tank there in is not big either which is why I thought to keep them to themselves. It's a 53 gallon odd size gallonage I know. Don't got the space right now to do another 135 gallon which is why I have been trying to sell my second one.

I was thinking before of giving them there own 40b tanks but being a foot long a piece even the 4ft tank there in seems a bit small. Just happy there not active like my Panaque's who patrol the tank for a piece of wood to munch on almost non stop. Those guys well are just picky. The tank has wood to last them a few years.

I had the idea of putting them into my 135 gallon tank but worried about what they would do to say my Papa Panaque with it's long flowing tail. Okay giving myself a headache from thinking to much.

Nice , I got a l25 also , he sucks on mp and sometimes pellet but never cucumber or any veg, what's a good thing to feed them, I haven't seen mine poop in a while
