What to feed silver arowana?

I just bought a silver arowana for about 50 bucks. It is around 8in long. The LFS was feeding it feeders. I personally dont like feeding my fish feeders cause of all the bad things they carry. So what do i feed this bad boy?
 
just got him like 3 days ago. still wont eat. tried krill and hikari pellets and nothing. hopefully he will come around. he is in a 180g. do they grow quickly?
 
Its funny he is in there with my oscars and pike. They dont know what to make of him. They usually peck the new guys as soon as they enter the tank but not him. The aro hasnt shown any interest in them either.
 
They grow 1-2" per month at that size and could take more than a week to eat. Once they get settled in shrimp and pellets/sticks are the best died. I feed both of my arowanas azoo arowana sticks.

My first aro. It is a really nice sight watching him glide through the water. Alot different from my sa/ca cichlids. Just cant wait to see him eat. Mouth looks like it can open pretty wide.
