What to feed steindachneri fry?

My G. steindachneri fry just hatched. There are a few dozen of them and they are very active. I will post a photo later, she sucked them up before I could get a decent shot.

My question is, what can I feed them? The more options, the better, as I'm not sure what the LFS will have. I would really like to raise up some of these guys, as it is my first breeding in a long time.

I would have asked this question a while ago, but I didn't think they were due to hatch until next weekend.

The fry are already large enough for naupli. The rest is the same as you would offer the adults, only ground to a powder.

Yea, I was gonna say hikari first bites since its easy to find but I've had the most success with decapsulated brine shrimp eggs. I feed it to all of my fry and don't finish weaning them off of it until they're 3/4". Only with certain fry have I ever needed something smaller and even then only for the first few weeks.

It's good to know I don't have to rush out and buy specialized food right away - the nearest LDS is 45 minutes away, the nearest good one (not Petsmart or Petco) is an hour or more away.

So far I've tried powdered spirulina flake and Hikari freeze-dried daphnia. I'm going to mush up some Hikari and NLS cichlid pellets as well.

I'll pick up some brine shrimp eggs this weekend.
