What can I feed these little piranhas? Their about an inch size. If you guys say flakes or pellets what kind/brand should I get?

flakes, doesn't matter what kind. frozen cubes of bloodworm or krill. small pieces of fillet fish or small pieces of shrimp. take out the leftovers from the fish and shrimp

If you are planning on keeping them for awhile I would get cichlid pellets. Petmountian.com has insane deals. You can get a 2 pound bag of mini pellets for like $17. Make sure to get the sinking ones. My piranhas don't like floating pellets.

Hi, I'm new to Piranha keeping, yet have 10 baby red bellies (about 1"), wondering what is the benefit of cichlid pellets if I'm keeping them as opposed to say bloodworm?

I'd say you would want to have some of both on hand. In my experience they tend to do better on a varied diet. Pellets are especially good beacue you get the best nutrition for your fish all packed into a nice little package. The rest of the food, shrimp, fillets, blood worms, feeders or anything else, in my opinion just makes for happier healthier fish.

I mean that for all my fish not just my piranha.

My red bellies wouldn't take pellets so I would stuff shrimp or fillet with them. I'll do the same for my snachezi when he finally starts eating.
