what to feed young red belly pirahas

I bought one rbp from lfs and it is only a dollar size. I put it with one gold fish in a 6 gallon tank. It did not bother the gold fish and has not eaten anything for a couple of days. what can I feed it? cichilid pellet? I will buy three more when the lfs has new arrivals and put them in a 50g tank.

not sure what to feed them, but i know they are pretty shy for a while, usually. and for 4 you are going to need about a 90 gallon tank. you should try posting in the piranha forum not c/s cichlids

6 gallon is to small. Red Bellys get 12" long

try some smaller rosey goldfish that they can eat in a bite or two.

piranhas are fish that naturally feed in schools, so having one by himself, he probably won't be willing to eat too quickly.
