I have 3 x 4" gars that were most likely on live food when i bought them. I've had them for 3 days, and i have no intention on feeding them live. what is a good food i should use to convert them?

There in with my datnoids, and the datnoids get 4 blocks of bloodworms a day.

mine all love FD krill and fresh market shrimp the most. they also like many different kinds of fresh fish, insects, pellet foods, ect. they will for the most part eat anything. longnose seem to be a little more difficult to get off of live and onto prepared foods. i am still fighting w/ mine to eat prepared foods. i have no experience w/ shortnose yet, but hopefully this fall i will be picking one up ;) .

goodluck

I just tried my futan freeze dried shrimp.. and they waitied 5 seconds and nailed it. I need to move them outa the tank and into there own, there starting to nip at my datnoids :(
