I had to downgrade from my 150 to a 75. In this tank I have 2 2" Texas (cyanoguttatus) and 1 2" jack dempsey. Obviously this stock won't work in my 75 long term. The jd has really nice color and is currently tank boss. I would like to get a breeding pair of something and wondering what I should stick with Texas pair or jd pair? Is jd pair enough to fill a 75 is Texas too much or is single Texas male wet pet the way to go?

I'd do a single male Texas.you could try a pair but it would be very tight and I'd have a divider ready. If you go the jd pair it would work well for filling the tank

I agree single texas or pair of jds... You might even be able to get away with one of each provided you have good filtration and are willing to rehome one if it becomes an issue

You said the JD is the boss...is he outgoing, not hiding much? Then a pair might be nice in there....I always love seeing all the activity breeding pairs provide
