hey guys i have a 125 gallon with 10 serpae tetras, 6 xray pristella tetras, and 2 plecos. i want to have some bigger fish in there that wont eat the tetras. any ideas?? im looking at the african knife fish. would that eat the tetras that i have? i know that people keep bala sharks with tetras, and i might do that. maybe angelfish too. i would like an arowana but unfortunately they will get to big for my tank.

How big are your tetras because most fish will eat what will fit in their mouth so maybe a african brown knife or bala.

their not that big sadly :( theres so many cool fish like eels and such. but i like my tetras. so balas and an african brown knife will work?? the tetras are about an inch long. maybe a tad bit longer.

An inch? Um id have to say that some fish will hardly work for tetras that size. If u want a cichlid get a calvus cichlid get it small though. They grow very slow and hopefully they wont attack your tetras. Just get small fish and hopefully they will grow to like eachother and not eat eachother. Good luck.

You could go with some of the larger barbs like mascara barbs. They school and are non agressive. Spanner barbs are pretty cool and will max out around 6 inches. The barbs will give some movement to the tank. Also try silver dollars.

you can get yourself some rainbow fish, they get kinda big but i dont think they will harm the tetras
