I was thinking of getting a betta and like 1 tankmate for it. Maby a Betta and a cory cat?

Or option 2 was maby putting some live bearers in it. Like maby guppies?
(i also have an empty 10g tank is the breeders got out of hand. And my 55g JD tank :D)

Idk what to put in it with such limited space, but i want something different.

I think the Betta is a good idea. Instead of a cory, which are schooling fish, so wouldn't be happy as a single specimen, you could try a FW shrimp or two. Make it planted and let the shrimpies have a good time.

My bettas have torn up both cories and shrimp. IMO, a betta alone is the safest choice. There are some who tolerate company, no doubt, but the only way to find that out for sure is the hard way.

i wouldnt put cories in a 5 gal but a betta and some shrimp or if you like frogs one of the dwarf frogs are really cool i have done them with bettas

neolamprologus ocelatus tiny shell dwellers maxing out at around 3cm sometimes 5cm

a dwarf puffer!

If you can get them there are alot of killiefish that the breeders normally keep in tiny tanks
