I have three cages/tanks that I could fill, and I'm looking for suggestions.
I have a 40 breeder that holds water, and a 30 that will go on the stand under it that holds water. As of now my thoughts are bichirs and other fish in the 40 on top, and axolotls or lesser sirens in the 30 under it.
I have another 40 breeder that could replace the 30, but it won't hold water, due to a crack on the back. I could seal this and make a background for a wet habitat, but couldn't do more than 3-4 inches of water in the bottom.
I have filters, pumps, and anything I'd need to house just about any reptile or amphibian that could live in either of these, and I'm really open to doing something fun (like a paludarium or vivarium) in either tank, if I had something interesting to put in it. I could be creative with a setup, and work with a variety of materials to build a nice environment.
And, I have an empty boaphile. 36" long, 24" tall, and 18" deep. This one I'll only put a snake in. I could easily go with a large ratsnake, central american milk, or an amazon tree boa, but I'm looking for someone to suggest something really interesting.
I don't have to fill all three of these, and I'm not even in a hurry to do so, but I am curious: what would you do if these were your options? If you could do just about anything you wanted, what would it be? I'm open to all different kinds of reptiles and amphibians (or possibly other critters?), and I have 15+ years of experience, so I'm not too intimidated by care requirements.
