Hi All

Looking to turn my 240 gallon 8x2x2 display tank into a display with some breeding pairs of central americans.

Looking for ideas and opinions as to whether or not i can fit 2 or more breeding pairs in and what would you consider stocking in the tank.

All ideas welcome except for Dovii as i don't want a tank with only 2 fish in it, looking for at least 2 pairs !!

Thanks Dave

at one point in my 265 I had a pair of RTM's, pair of Festae & pair of Dovii. Moved the pair of dovii to their own tank & the female festae died, so Im down to just one pair...the RTMs. They are doing fine with all the other fish in my signature, ranging from 5-10 inches...trimac being the biggest.

got any pics of your tank and inhabitants? I really want a 200+ tan, but I need a place first.

There are a couple people on here with large tanks with breeding pairs. The 358g one with the huge thread is the one I remember the most.

this one http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=233155&highlight=parachromis[/quote

Yeah Terd Ferguson has a great set up but over here in oz the only parachromis that are readily available are Jags.

One of my ideas is
1. Pair Salvini
Pair Jags
Pair Fenestratus

2. Pair Jags
Pair Red Terrors (festae)
Pair Cubans

The fish in my signature are all in acommunity tank with all males except for the festae and texas.
