what to stock a 6 x 2 x20" tank with ?

Motoro's won't last very long in that tank. They will need a 36" wide tank minimum soon, and probably a 48" wide tank as full adults. They get wider than that tank is.

If you want rays, go for reticulated (often sold as teacup stingrays) or Hystrix stingrays. They generally stay under 18" in diameter, and could live in that tank for a very long time.

Maybe something unique, but will not break the bank (or the tank!)... Are you looking for big monsters, medium monsters, or what? Also, what is your tap water like.

According to my calculations, that is a 150 gallon tank... I am thinking a buttload of holey rock and some nice white sand. In the holes in the rock a bunch of hardy, strong, plants like anubias nana and javafern. In the sand, 50-60 large escargot shells.

Then, as far as fish go, a large community of Tanganyika Shell Dwellers would look nice for the bottom region of the tank, with a school of a colorful (or bland) dither fish to add movement to the rest of the tank.

Like it? I am pretty sure I could squeeze a couple more configurations out of my head, but that sounds like what I would do with this particular tank. The 6x2 footprint is just screaming for shellies :)

Rays can't last in anything smaller than a 200g just for waste dilution purposes. I can guarantee that you wouldn't be able to sell a 20" ray in less than 3 months.
