i am trying to come up with what else to put in my ray tank. the stock so far will be 3recticulata rays 1 male and 2 females, i was thinking along the lines of a south american biotope but cant decide what else to put in there, possibly something colourful? cichlids big corys or an arro? PLEASE HELP

I wouldn't do arowanas, too little tank volume. I wouldn't do cory's, because I would be scared they might end up an expensive lunch. Perhaps some green terrors up top? If you could find some female specimens that spawned early in life they will be smaller (maybe like 6"-8"). Just some thoughts.

dont want to have to upgrade the tank anytime soon as the rays will be ok for life in this size tank, good point about the arro, terrors seem a good idea thanks.

I'd go with a large group of more peaceful geos, which are both attractive and won't nip at the rays

i have some its more like roots but im afraid the neons would get eaten and i dnt want plecs sucking on my rays back!
its difficult choice thats why i posted it!

i say u go forthe geos.......they are some cool fish maybe some wild oscars idk tho just depends on wat u like..... well i think some wild oscars would work out....

the oscars would get to big in that tank, im thinking along the lines of uarus (waroo)
might consider the geos im going to the LFS now and see what they have!,
update on what i have bought when home!!!

You can get tetras that are larger and nicer then neons, and as for plecos there are some smaller ones such as BN plecos that will leave the rays alone. That is also why you would hve an area with lots of driftwood.

You can also plant some of the tank with jungle val, I find that it mkes a tank look more natural.
