What to stock?

What fish should i put into my 38gallon tank, i have had small communtiy fish for a logn time so i want to switch it around. What would you recommend

Perferbly looking for fish bigger then 1 inch and with alot of personality

Pair of convicts? Firemouths? Exodon Swarm (Maybe 25?) Blue Acara?

2 GSPs (green spotted puffers) the best fish i have ever kept! all the work is worth it

go with a pair of cichlids, something like blue acaras can be very personable fish, and you might be able to keep some of the smaller fish in with them

Im really leaning towards cichlids not sure which ones yet. No convicts i have had them in the past and not that great

The 38g size makes it difficult to raise any of the nice medium sized fish. We are talking a standard 36x12x20?

If you had a 40g breeder (36x18x16) you might be able to house a single Green Terror, or Salvini.

I think I agree with everyone else on the Firemouth or Blue Acara as choices for that size tank.

Yup, i really like firemouths, would they be okay witha bristle nose pleco. And my tank i think is 18inches high not 20
