I was just given a 225, my question is what to put in there as the dimensions are 96"x18"x30". I would not buy this tank but it was free so what the heck. So what gets big but not to big to stay in here for life

Don't they need to be alone? Thats a big tank for only one fish IMO but I do like them and the wife is a huge fan.
