I just moved and decided to get back into the hobby. I have a 135 set up and cycling. I am not into Africans but I love new world cichlids and Flowerhorns. Just fishing for ideas. Going to visit the local fish store tomorrow to see what they have.
What to stock?

Whatever you choose make sure you can house it long term in the 135 so no dovii , jag , umbee etc and if planning multiple cichlids choose wisely so they don't kill each other long term 
a flowerhorn could be a good start if you into them maybe with a few convicts ? Suppose it depends what your lfs stock , happy shopping

I personally think pure Trimacs are cooler than Flowerhorns. Some Flowerhorns look really cool, but some are just plain ugly, and if you get it small you won't know how it will turn out.
