I'm back! Sadly life has not been going well and I've had to break down all my tanks and rehome all fish. However, I am looking at resetting up one and I'm trying to figure out what I want in it. Here's the list on considerations (no all CA/SA cichlids but a few so I figured I'd put it here for y'all's input):

- An albino Oscar and a paratilopia pollini (with dither and maybe a med/small pike cichlid?)
- Black nasty (or pair but I don't think they'd fit)
- A flowerhorn
- A freshwater puffer
- Discus tank
- Saltwater tank
- Thorichthys tank (with dither)

I'm open to other suggestions as well. Forgot to mention that it's a standard 125 gallon tank.

Thoricthys with dithers, or discus tank (I'd still do dithers) would be my votes from your list. Group dynamics are awesome to watch with cichlids, either of these options would give you an active tank and the ability to stock non-cichlids as well.

I’ve been on the hunt for Helleri, and Aureus, so if you find some let me know lol. I’ve been able to find Passonis, maculipinnis, and meeki.

You could always try a freshwater

-A pair of paratilapia would look very nice with a big shoal of madagascan rainbows and maybe a few synodontis angelicus for scavengers.
-A freshwater puffer would be a VERY interactive wet per most likely a fahaka (unfortunately almost all freshwater puffers are aggressive towards tank mates) however the Amazon pufferfish (6-12cm) can be kept in a group of 5-8 In a tank that size and with other non aggressive tankmates which are sturdy enough to take the odd nip at feeding.
-A flowerhorn for a tank that size you would probably want a very nice variety so it seems worth having 1 fish in a tank (Thai silk are a personal favourite or AAA grade red dragons)
