Hey everyone. Well, my 5 inch female laid eggs for the 2nd time a couple of days ago. The first time was about 3 months ago and the eggs were laid on a piece of river rock. I've never bred flowerhorns before so I didn't know what to do. Eggs turned white and were eaten. I decided to change the substrate because it was river rocks and pebbles and hard to clean. I then changed the substrate to gravel and placed a square piece of tile with her to see if she will lay eggs again since I now have a 5 inch male. For a week, no eggs were laid. Then 3 days ago, I saw her egg tube but it wasn't sticking out much so I decided to change the tile so she might lay eggs on something else. I replaced the tile with a 6 inch sized terra cotta pot laying on its side and suddenly I woke up the next morning and there were eggs all over the inside of the pot. I saw her fanning the eggs and the male was hanging around the pot. The question is, is the pot large enough because I know 1 can fit in but 2 is a little tight. Should I get a bigger pot or maybe try to cut a piece of the pot off the top so both can fit and the male can have space to fertilize? Any help is appreciated, Ed.

I see a lot of people using those clay plate that are used for flower pot so water doesn't run everywhere.

Anyone else want to chime in?
