so i got my 30gal kit and it came with a trial size of aquasafe and API stress enzyme. the enzyme says its for new aquariums and is a bio filtration booster, but i am transfering the filters from the old tank to the new one so do i need to use this? and do i need to use the aquasafe?

Transferring the filters over will help to cycle the new tank more quickly. The aquasafe is used to condition your water and remove any chlorine. The API is used to help fish get their slime coat. I personally use Prime as both the conditioner and for the fish's stress coat. I always put in the Prime whenever I do a water change as well as when I introduce new fish.

No need to use the stress enzyme... it's ineffective, and you're using your old filter anyway. You do want to use the aquasafe, or whatever water conditioner you currently use. I recommend Prime, as previously stated.

Stress Zyme will not hurt to use. It isn't a bacteria, and shouldn't be expected to work the same way as bio-spira. This will, however, aid in strengthening your bacteria colony, making the transition for your fish a little less stressful.
