I have a 250Gallon tank, with a green aro, 5 SD, 1 flagtail and 1 ornate. I was thinking of adding a turtle, but don't have any idea about any breed of turtles, and how to take care of them. Can anyone help me please on choosing the best turtle that could fits in this community? and of course please also state the price of the specific breed that you recommend. thanks in advance! :)

While there are no totally safe turles to keep around fish I am partial to African Helmeted Turtles. They stay fairly small so larger fish should be pretty safe. They are also really personable.

Turtle Shack? Really? Seriously?.........

Just because you see it on the Google ad banner doesn't mean squat.........

Subrufa and Castaneus are $25 retail all day long. I can get you one, as can just about anyone experienced with Turtles and/or Tortoises.........They are extremely common Turtles, and aren't hard to find at all........I guess I just choose to support the people that actually know what they're doing.......

Pelusios and Pelumedusa arent fownd of deep and unobstructed water like its need for those species of fish. You want a peacefull turtle that is as well a active swimmer. Dont forget you also need a out of water basking area. You would be better of with a large male cooter or even perhaps a male Batagur borneoensis.

I would say a fly river turtle since they are the only turtle that I can think o that will not eat your fish, does not need a basking area, and can handle the open water.
