I just set up my 135 as an african tank and was wondering what type of bottom dweller to use to help keep the tank clean ? I know pleco are can be used but by ready up on them , I see they will not thrive in 8+ Ph and general hardness at 15+ .

Thanks ,
BigSteve

Bump it up . I really need some help here , did I put this in the wrong forum ?

I think that people usually put synodontis catfish with africans. They do a good job cleaning up any excess food. Most species would do well in a 135 gallon, but my personal favorite is eupterus.

for algea just get a mag scraper.

Prochilodus, aka Flagtails.

Agreed, Synos rule. I have 4 Eupterus and they are the best to watch.
