What type of backing to you prefer on your tanks?

Just curious....

What type of backing to you prefer on your tanks? Why?

I find that it usually depends on the tank and what it is stocking.

In my bedroom I like the background black, Hex is nothing and since I have a wall tank inbetween my office and living room I again like nothing so that I can see the tank from both sides.

Since all my tanks are 3 or 4 side visible I want clear on all 4 sides.

I like best the inside decor (rocks and plants) to consume and become the background.
I guess this would have been "other". But I voted for "black".

The only pet-peeve that I have is a bare back. It always makes tubes, pipes, electrical and filters stand out and distract from the fish. Unless you are proud of your heater, hide the stuff! at least a background hides some of it.
