Just planning ahead on my next project. I'm contemplating on experimenting with a sump this time. What do you suggest on bulkheads? Threaded/threaded, slip/slip or threaded/slip? Thanks.

You can make your own bulkhead with male and female PVC bushings (I think home depot calls them adapters) and a gasket. If you're going through thick glass/acrylic it might not work cause I think theres only about an inch of threads. I've seen some longer though.

Threaded. You'll thank yourself when/if you need to change something or move the tank.

I agree with jcardna1, whenever I get bulkheads I try to get threaded outside and in. Much more flexible if you ever want change, and I find change to be the norm, not the exception.

Below is a double threaded bulkhead I bought from jehmco for approx $5, it uses 1.5"PVC and fits in a 2-2.25" hole.

+500 to Threaded-Threaded. Everything is just a ton easier haha.
