What type of catfish are these?

From what I just read, these are actually Flathead cats and they are apparently one of the "tastiest" invasive species in MD just like the snakehead.

From the Maryland DNR.

"Flathead Catfish have taken up residence in the lower Susquehanna River and particularly at the Conowingo Dam pool. They are considered an invasive species in Maryland but like the notorious snakehead, are one of the tastiest invasive species you’d ever want to meet."

Doesnt look like the flathead all that much to me though...

Thanks again.

I just went out and looked at the 3 big ones in my pond....they seem to be loving it. I know the white perch in there will be dinner for them eventually, especially since i used some of the white perch in the freezer to catch the cats.

Channel and white catfish are present in this river you spoken of. Right now the catfish you have is a channel catfish.
