What type of Catfish is this?

I caught a catfish and I would like to catch another one based on the species for my new tank. I think it is a brown bullhead. Ideas?

i think the dark colored barbels mean brown, if they are light colored its a yellow, i could be wrong

That is what I thought, but I didn't want to end up with a flathead.

This is the prettiest catfish I have ever caught.

yup brown bullhead we have ponds full of those in our local park i believe there are so many they actually are stunting there own growth with a lack of food

I have never caught a brown bullhead before. I love this fish. I can't wait to catch another. I have never seen one with the pretty blotching/coloration on the side. When I did a google search they didn't look anything like this one.

They get fairly big (over 20inches) and are big eaters I hope you have a big tank.
