What type of cichlid is this?

I don't have a pic, but I can describe it...

At the LFS, they have cichlids for sale and they just call them "African Cichlids". There are orange and yellow I think, and they have HUGE jaws. I can't find the type. Do you know?

sounds like a Yellow Hugejaw, they are from africa and sometimes come in an orange variety.

The best advice I can give to for you to try and post a pic as your description is extremely vague. You must remember that there are over 600 species in Lake Malawi alone, so who knows how many in the entire continent! A pic please!!

My guess, going on your 'HUGE jaws!' description, would be either yellow/gold A. compressiceps or A. calvus. They're African, from Lake Tangyanika.

sounds like Yellochromis Bigamouthis,probably wild caught from your description.

No but honestly while yellow/orange with huge jaws does cut out alot of options it doesnt narrow it down anywhere close to what we need for proper ID.
