I have a 30 gallon with one voliten lion fish 30 ibs of live rock and a cheap h.o.b eheim filter rated for 50 gallons.

i also have a 900 gph pond pump a 1 and half inch bulkhead with all the fittings and would only need to drill the tank and add a sump (i also have a sump)but i think i would need to upgrade my size and if drilled it it would be useless without a pump.

i was thinking of using a cannister filter and a skimmer any thoughts on these vs the sump ?

skimmer and wet/dry. that fish is gonna get pretty big you need a bigger tank

thank's how big of a tank do i need i was thinking of building a 90 gallon
thats good, you could probably get away with a little bit less. i do recommend the skimmer since it will make water changes more bearable, WC's are pretty bad on big salt tanks. be sure to research the skimmer tho as some(alot) skimmers are really crappy.

i guess i'm buying a glass bit and adding a sump. what skimmer is isn't really crappy on a budget lol.

picked up a canister filter and purchased a glass bit inline ill try to get some pics of putting it all together.
