This is my first fish and i need help identifying the type of flowerhorn it is, or is it even a flowerhorn at all? He is about 5 inches and it used to be black/turqouise now the tail and fin seems to be turning red while the body is turning purple? I've tried to do extensive research but haven't found anything on this particular fish? SO i turned to MFK! :screwy:

I got this guy from a local guy that had a cichlid tank, his tank was crowded with cichlids and he was thinning it out. He didn't want the fish anymore because the color was dull and wasn't very attractive, but I've had it for about a month and it pretty much doubled in size and the colors are much more vibrant, I guess a bigger tank and being the dominant fish does wonders for a fish?

Can we get more pics?

Wow it looks like a green terror cross. Maybe a zz X green terror. Where did you get it? Maybe they can hybridize..

They can hybridize.. 100% sure of this..
And i agree it looks like it has terror genes..
I guess it would be classed as ZZ ...

ask and you shall receive, more pics
