too young maybe to tell? not expert... all those dark bands(the black) is from stress they should mostly go away and you could see true colours...
thats an awesome fish right there......with flowerhorns its pretty much a shot in the dark bc of how much they have been cross bred. thats a keeper looks like a future show fish to me.....if you dont mind could you tell me where you got this flowerhorn?
get another picture when the black goes away for sure!! i was thinking pearl as well just didn't want to get bashed up because i am not an expert
Looks like some sort of dragon/ZZ. But it is definitely stressed or scared. I dont think those bars are naturally that dark.
i love him! in the week after i posted this hes already bigger! but the black has been on him, and dosent really change so i doubt its stress, maybe his young colors and will fade later?? but i really dont care hes awesome.

Ya, i got him at a LFS here nearby in Modesto called Tropical Haven. He was in a batch of about 7 and he waas the best looking at .5" so i had to pick him up.
