Hello, I'm just getting back into the hobby. I'm new to MFK and flowerhorns. I've searched the web and I just can't narrow w/ confidence what this guy is. I got him at 7.5" from a lfs that said they got him from a display at a closed down Chinese restaurant. He instantly plucked the eyes out of an oscar in their tank, so they were ready to get rid of him. He's 11.5" total length now. He's shown in a quarantine tank during a basement remodel, but he is now in a 135 w/ a small female trimac that he's starting to warm up to, and a few kribensis to chase into their cover - don't worry, he can't catch them and they are doing well.
