I'm looking for a recommendation on which type would be best to keep and moderately priced. I have a 8x2x2 tank drilled for a closed loop at just under 3000 gph thru two nu-clear canisters as well as a wet dry filter running at 1200 gph. I'm new to fronts but not the hobby. I like the look of the more vibrant blue and less of the bulge in front, so would my best bet be mpimbwe?

I have burundis mpimbwes and kipilis burundis are super skittish and get blacked out with big hump
The kipilis I have are still small as are the mpimbwes but I'm pretty sure there hump is still humpesc with the kipilis being from really close the the same collection point I'd imagine there physical traits would be some what similar. Personality wise tho mpimbwes are much more sociable and not hiding while my kipilis are always behind the rock. I'd vote for mpimbwes personally tho. If that helps any.

I know Zaire is usually the most sought after, and I've come across some Moba Zaire. I'm sure the blue in the Zaire can't be rivaled by the mpimbwe, but what about personality? Can anyone weigh in on that?

Typically mpimbwe are the most out going. I have a group of wc moba and they are fairly skittish, however that is kind of normal for wc fronts. Mikula are another Zaire variety that seem to not get the large nuchal hump. In general Zaire don't get as large of a nuchal hump as the other variants.
