What type of geo is this?

Ignore the bad decor and rocks, he will be going into my new tank (sand) very soon. Also he’s not colored up but he has horizontal colorful stripes.(just added him) thanks

Agree with tlindsey tlindsey mine looked very similar as a juvenile. Don’t worry it will color up soon and when it does they have great colors!!
Yeah it was colored up a good amount but I added it into the tank right before the pictures were taken so he was probably stressed

Above is what seems to me to be a similar size G. pyrocephalis I had (red head tapajos) to compare, it may be a little darker, because the white substrate in th OP tank will make most cichlids wash out, and my substrate is darker.
Lack of markings on the head, are a pyocephis trait, as are 9 vertical bands, and longitudinal bands in the caudal, which at this size and age, are just starting to develop and become visible.
