hey everyone

I cant figure this guy out when i say him at the store last year i thought he was a botia robusta but there was no label. i bought it thinking it was a botia robusta but i went to the same store and in the same area are golden zebra loaches and they look alot alike heres a vid tell me wat u think

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rOkyvrikEQg thx!

Looks like a juvie kubotai to me.... I think his body is too heavy & the pattern is too "busy" for a golden zebra, plus he's got a kub attitude. No way to be sure, but thats my guess. I have a few baby kubs that are heavy on the gold colors & haven't really started developing their blue yet.

Not a Sinibotia robusta. It's a Botia kubotai.

Kubotai FTW! Great loach species, but I think more people would get into them if they were cheaper at the LFS... They are about 50% more expensive than CL's around here. Lowest I've seen is $12 apiece!

thx i hope hes botia kubotai he will get really pretty then! how long does it take 4 them to mature? hes about 2 inch right now . we have had him for 8 -10 months now any help is apprecaited!

They're ridiculously slow growers. What do you feed him? Try feeding him 3-4 times a day.
