You shouldn't keep any on hand. Buy what you need, when you need it. If you properly quarantine your fish, it's highly unlikely you'll ever need any medications.

I agree. Only when needed (kinda like carbon). The best "medication" is prevention. Always QT new fish and keep your water pristine. By this I mean nitrates under 10 (some people might chime in and say 20-40) but I totally disagree. If the water is really clean and fish are well fed, you shouldn't have any disease problems.
