I have a dazzlind 4" EBJD in my 55 gallon and wanted to hear peoples opinions about what types of plants i could use that would work well with the EBJD's natural habitat but i would perfer the plants to be live. Would live plants help with the filtration.

live plants definitely help with filtration; they are great at controlling ammonia/nitrite/nitrate . . .

best plants with EBJD - - IME - - are sturdy plants like swords, java fern and anubias . . . also crinums . . .

I don't think any of those are part of their "natural" habitat, but they don't know the difference . . .

Technically, EBJDs don't have a natural habitat considering they were created by man. Sab_Fan already named the best hardy plants that would work.

I don't think ebjd are man made but a rare occurance in the wild "color morph" I think it's called but ehhh.. Like a marbled con

i vote swords or hair grass as carpet(if your fish dont eat or dig it up that is).

EBJD is supposed to be like albinism, can occur naturally but pretty much makes the fish a target and weaker, there prolly 99.999% more likely to die or get eaten

Thanx guys for all your help im going to go with the swords and the java fern snd maybe the hair grass too :)
