I bought this guy from Petco for $20. He was like 3 inches when I got him. I used to have plecos growing up with my goldies, but they were always just plain black. This guy is different, and I haven't seen any at the petstore like this since I got him.

I thought it was just a common pleco...

He's about 7 inches now, eats shrimp pellets, and has just recently stopped hiding in his log all day.

I don't know how he got a hole in his fin.

Awesome! I think he's great looking. I love when he sticks to the glass and you can see his belly. :D

I know plecos can be territorial... is this just species to be species or any 2 plecos?

I would love to get a vampire pleco.

thats a common pleco I have some just like him, I do have a question for all the pleco buffs, I bought 3 plecos last october at the same exact time out of the exact same tank, I have kept them in my 250 gallon pond with my pair of oscars ... well heres the question when I bought them they was all 3 inches and now one is pushing 8 inches and the othe 2 or maybe 4 inches max what is going on with them ?

Sorry for the derail

Maybe one is just a pig? Maybe the other 2 are older and their growth was stunted before you got him? Just a guess.
