what type of pleco would you get?

i have a 180 gal and it is starting to have some algae on the tank... i was wondering what type of pleco can clean up except for the common one. what other type can do a great job of taking the algae away?

A rhino would be a good choice, they get around 10 inches (i just got one of theis guys today.)

If you want something with more color, get a Sailfin (Gibby). They get pretty damn big at 18inches max.

or a L001, but they stay fairly small at 8 inches.

I'll add that I don't know anything about your fish or if they'll not hassle a pleco, but I figure you know they are.

ancistrus spp are best hands down, but many are small, depends on tankmates- and bichirs might find them a snack. you could try gibbys but from personal exp. they are pretty poor. a royal would be quite good though

beautiful fish, but neither of these will solve your algae problem. so get a few different ones
