bradder, with the exception of Temonox I really don't think there are really other types of 'true' tems. The coloration and speckles, in my experience are all due to food, surrounding and water quality. That is why we see some variances from location to location, but exposed under same conditions I believe they all look the same. My $0.02.

give me a picture without flash bradda and i will try to get you a location on him as best i can.. sweet tem ;) that red will only get better

Wait a minute, there are pictures floating in the internet of some strange looking tems caught in the early 90s in lake guri after the inundation. Some of the orino supposedly crossed with Tem. According to reports the Tem have stronger genes and therefore beside a larger than usual bars (diamond shaped), they were otherwise temish looking. Recent pictures show that the Lake Guri tem are back to the good 'ol' looks again. Who knows, maybe the alien genes get shedded off after generations. This makes sense, otherwise we will have 1,000,000 subspecies of pbass over the eons than it is now. Perhaps those Fogos, Xingu somehow are the mutated offsprings of naughty tems and orino/intermedia or watever. Anyhow, this is just a crazy brainwave so add salt where necessary ;)

ummm interesting.
