Someone put this fish up forsale on the local classifieds. Said 10-12 inches so probably 8. Looks in sad shape. What type of fish anyone? I know it looks horrible for tank conditions. Lol he wants 250.00 for it. Lol

That's one of the African Tigerfish species but t I'm not sure which...The tiger keepers will be around soon to identify it.

Looks of the fatf/batf persuasion, i know itll be hard for a definite with the quality of the pics haha. How can you get such an awesome fish and not keep it in top condition? Some people astound me

Agreed. He says it's a goliath?? I don't think so but I'm no expert. Could be super heavy wood leeching but my goodness it still look bad.

The only thing I can say for sure is that it is NOT a goliath. Beyond that, you'd need much better pics.

Definitely not a Goliath, I'm thinking Vittatus? Or Vitatus however you spell it.

IF someone had something like that for sale around me I'd be taking pics of it in my own clean water.... lol

That's actually a reasonable price in my opinion. Seems bigger Tigers (anything over 6") are really hard to ship/transport so prices can take off pretty quick. lol

You should rescue that thing!!!!

IF I had to guess I'd agree with not GATF, TATF. or VATF.

After getting a better look at this guy from my PC and then going back and looking at pics of confirmed FATF as compared to my BATF and other confirmed BATF, I agree with the others that he's a big old forskahlii.

Snatch him up, that species is practically non-existent at even eight inches.

I can't say much for the tank conditions, but he does actually look well fed. His lower lip looks a little busted up but I bet he'd heal up nicely in a tank that doesn't look like an unflushed public toilet.
