i want a big tank, simila to what you see in public aquariums, there there is no top, concrete walls (seemingly concrete) and a glass or perspex windows in the front, usually i see them they are about 3 inches or so thick.

i am wondering, i want to make it looking natural, but first the base structure, can i use bricks? make a tank with brickes, then epoxy the bricks to water proof it OR should i use cinder blocks, with steel reinforcements and filled with concrete as you would building a house ?
how do i come about building one?

Have you priced cell cast acrylic that thick in your area?

Depending on the height and gallonage, you will have to support the walls every so far.

Use cement (I thought cement was stronger/easier to seal than cinder) block and rebar and fill the blocks with concrete, and top with a pre-cast lintel.

See what waterproof sealers are available in your country that are safe for potable water. Here in the States we have DryLock, SaniTred, & PondArmor. Asphalt based sealers are not for potable water.

Check your local zoning codes before you buy anything as that much water may need a special variance and homeowners insurance may also have to be adjusted.
