to be completely honest im not sure the specifics, but i can tell you that they were avg price around 7 bucks each at petsmart, all they said was they were assorted african chiclids
Maybe you should wait and see how big your fish get, and their temperaments and behaviors. Then you might be able to tell what they are and what/if they would tolerate for a tank mate. Let us know what size tank you have too, that plays a HUGE role in stocking. Typically, if you have a decent sized tank, you could keep any of the synodontis type catfish in there, but most of them grow atleast 6-8" inches. So, like I said, tank size is imprtant.
I was going so say that you could keep Synodontis Multipuncatis, but they prefer to be in school and carry a huge price tag. You cant beat thier colouration though.
You can keep pirahnas with some africans, certain barbs and tetras, some bichirs. Ive found that anything which moves a lot like guppies etc. don't seem to attract the attention of africans (mine anyways) but they aren't cool fish. Good luck in your search.
